ClimateLaunchpad is the world’s largest green business ideas competition, a program that is run simultaneously across the globe in over 50 countries. We are excited to bring the program to Canada for the first time in North America! Each year, we focus on a specific theme, however any idea related to cleantech is welcome.
Are you interested in organizing ClimateLaunchpad in your city?
WHO IS IT FOR?
ClimateLaunchpad is for individuals and teams who want to transform their early-stage green idea into a successful business with the help of coaches and entrepreneurs. We accept ideas that address climate change, in particular sustainable mobility, even if they are still on the back of a napkin!
WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
We help you grow your business idea for free. This program will give you a chance to gain some entrepreneurship experience and help tackle climate change at the same time! Plus, you will have the chance to connect with entrepreneurs, coaches and investors from around the world.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Selected teams will be invited to join our 2-day bootcamp and training sessions (August and September). After the national final in Montréal (September 27th), the top two teams will get a chance to travel and present at the international final in Amsterdam (Early November).

This year, ClimateLaunchpad Canada is focusing on addressing sustainable mobility needs. That means innovative ways of transporting people and goods through rail, road, water and air but also through using new technologies and concepts such as big data, artificial intelligence, new materials, electronics and sensors, mobility as a service, etc.
Sustainable Mobility refers to the broad subject of transport that is sustainable along social, climate, and other environmental dimensions, as well as the ability to, in the global scope, supply energy indefinitely.
If you are an individual or a team with an idea related to sustainable mobility, or more generally the cleantech domain, we encourage you to apply. You can also apply as an early-stage startup, if your startup has been incorporated for less than a year and you have received a funding of no more than $200k. All 2019 events will take place in Montréal, however you are welcome to apply from any North American country.
