Project and Program Volunteer Opportunities

 
 

Climate Education Programs Facilitator

Description:

Climatable’s educational programs raise awareness of climate change and build capacity in order to increase climate actions that contribute to a cleaner future. Our climate change education and outreach programs are at the heart of our mission, and our facilitators play a central role.

Deliverables:

  • Complete Climatable’s facilitator training with an experienced project lead

  • Through the training, become familiar  with the United Nations Framework on the Convention of Climate Change process and the delegate materials

  • Ability to work independently

Time Commitment:

  • Workshops run once every two months, although the commitment is flexible

Volunteer benefits:

  • Gain valuable experience in environmental education and facilitation

  • Participate in Climatable events

  • Develop expertise in international climate negotiations

  • Participate in Climatable events

  • Join a network of passionate, like-minded individuals

Communications Team Member

Description:

Help support Climatable’s external communications and public engagement. You will work with Climatable’s communications team lead to share information about environmental news and Climatable’s projects and opportunities with our audiences.

Deliverables:

  • Study and understand Climatable communications strategy

  • Support the communications team lead in improving and maintaining the website and multiple social media channels

  • Create original and engaging content for social media & website

  • Ability to work independently

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible

Volunteer benefits:

  • Gain valuable experience in social media and communications management for non-profit organizations

  • Gain knowledge of environmental policies and issues

  • Participate in Climatable events
